Okay is it possible? I just got done QTing my sunfish and it has been in the tank for awhile with my GT... And they are "dancing" and lip locking with eachother nothing to super violent. I'm assuming its a dominance thing but I'm just curious if they can cross. I've heard that sunfish are very similar to cichlids especially in there parenting.

Hey, different genus, different continent, different everything. It's amazingly unlikely that even a forced attempt to mix the eggs and milt would result in anything but a bucket of bad caviar.
