Hey guy's ..

Just got a new fish a GT. I've heard that they get sick alot. Any truth to that.. and how big do they get full grown ?

He's about 2 inch's in a 30GL for now... 125gl ... Almost ready I cant wait! 1st big tank!!

they dont get sick often, aslong as you look after them, ive found them to be fairly hardy to be honest, if its a male then it could max out at maybe 11-12". if its female i would say about 7" max in length. they are fairly slow growers IME about .5" a month.

feed him hikari cichlid gold or hikari bio gold or omega one as a staple diet with frozen blood worms, brine shrimp, fish meat.. as treats, say one every other day..

they are fairly compatible, you could keep it with another GT or a JD some FM would be ok possibly some convicts if u want.

I saw an electric green t. today guess it is like the blue dempsey. And greens are pretty hardy.

highly doubt they would co-exist fine. flowerhorns can be the devil incarnate.

i ve keep a mated pair of fh, with a gt and a jd, for months they dont even look at each other, fhs to busy playing togheter. all same size, just give them a huge tank.
but of course maybe i just got lucky it depens on the fishes individual personalities you can try it but have a back up plan if things get dirty.
