Never owned a green terror, but always thougth they were stunning fish. Just curious are their temperaments similiar to that of an Oscar? I have always assumed they were, but have not idea way. thanks. And yes I know each fish is individual, but I am looking for a generalization here.

Usually not to Aggressive, my old one was chill. My new little male is a little fight picker, but he never wins....

They are pretty mild in my opinion. I usually keep them with gourami, cory cats, pictus cats, parrots, sevs, swordtails and other stuff. When they get bigger (6"+) they sometimes munch on small stuff like platies, but when they are little they do ok.

my 8" harassed everything in his tank.

It really depends on the personality of the fish. In my experiance my GT (Gold Saum type) have been a little on the agressive side. My first male i had for 9 years and could not put ANYTHING ion the tank with him. He was a loner. lol I have one now that just a little over a year and not as agressive but i been able to keep him with tank mates.

On the average i do think they are a bit more agressive then oscars. But it really boils down to the personality of the fish. IMO GT's no matter which one are well worth haveing.

Oscar are more laid back not really territorial. i have both in my tank and i wayyy more aggressive things in there than those two. if you want the more wet pet of the too though oscars def. :)

My 5" female is one of the few fish I had to rehome. She could not live in a 300 gallon with other cichlids at all. Stressed out the festae in my avatar so bad, she had to be moved to a qt for about a month to heal.

Definitely depends on the temperament of the fish, but my gt was a nightmare towards all other cichlids
