Anybody have a full grown one? There used to be a huge hype bout them and now it seems that they have faded out. Also mine seemed to grow really slow. If anybody has a full grown one could u post a picture? Thanks
 
There a great fish to have. Ive yet to grow one bigger than 4" but Ive seen acouple at the LFS i frequent that were like 10" . They pretty much keep the same colors no matter what size they are, Males will get the head hump. An they can vary in temperment. The one I currently have is recouping in my hospital tank after getting whaled on by two firemouths.
 
I think the big hype about them was that you couldn't find them anywhere a couple years back.
 
I used to have one but he only got to about 2.5" and was growing way too slow for me and I got rid of him. I never see anything bout them anymore and my friend jsut got one.

That annoys the crap outta me, when people only like fish because they are not common and are the "in thing". Then once the fish is common knowone wants them anymore.
 
I have 2 of them around :thumbsup: 10" and I have a 5"female and a 4" male and 4 juv that I haven't sexed yet and a 7" male... love these guys

everytime i see a pic of a big male GT i cant wait till i get mine. nice fish btw. how long did it take to grow to 7"
