Hey everyone, im new to the forum seems like a great site tho! Anyway i have a few questions if anyone would be able or willing to help answer them that would be great! I just set up a 125G Tank with 5 Nice size peices of Drift wood (Moponi..I think) also addes some nice live plants (Java Fern and Anibus) heard the GT's dont mess as much with these plants and so far so good! I have also stocked the tank with 3 GT's one 4" the other two 2" and a pleco. MY questions are 1. Is this tank big enough fo the three of them? and Two at what age/size can you tell GT's sex and will the begin mating? Also any tips for getting them to mate? Thanks

This should be a big enough tank for them, at least until they do start to breed. I may be wrong but i think all you need to do to get GT's to breed is have a male and female.

yes thats all you have to do put them in a tank and let them do there thing (males) need to be about 4 to 5 inch and (females) about 3 to 4 inchs if you have 3 of them in the tank you will need to watch them when they pair up if you have 2 males or 2 females they will kill one of them

i suggest "don't consider algae a problem but algae eater(pleco) will be a problem" coz he won't hesitate eating all those eggs during nighttime which will be laid by them.

Thanks everyone! So far no breeding but maybe bc the pleco is eating the eggs at night?....if this is the case I would never know right? Although my GTs are still kinda small I have one about 4inchs the others r growing but at a slow pace only about 2 to 2.5 inches! But thanks again
