My pair of 2.5" GT's just bred recenty and I have hundreds of fry. It's a real shame she'll be stuck at 2.5" for the rest of her life. :screwy:

My male shrank from four inches down to three after a year alone (Almost alone. There were other small fish, I recall now) in a well-established 75 gal tank, being offered abundant live, prepared and frozen foods. No medication would kill the parasite inside of him. F**k green terrors. I love them and they are beautiful. They hate me. Oh well.

Balton777, im very sorry to hear your 2.5" GT will never grow again. let us hope she is not ridiculed by her tankmates for her small stature, lmao:D.

males have the potential for 12"+ but from what i understand these sizes are more unusual, around 8-10" is far more common.

females get approx 6-8" i believe. while their growth slows considerably when they begin to lay eggs im pretty sure they do not stop growing.
