Hi everyone, I've been contemplating on putting together a tank for green terrors (hopefully a pair, tank size pending) I've been searching the web for a clue on what types of plants are in this fishes natural environment and haven't come up with anything. So I'm hoping maybe a couple of you could help me out :) I've never had green terrors but they're a beautiful fish and would love to have some.

tstone, talk to Ace on TheWaterSnake.com. i think he's forgotten more about Green Terrors than most of us ever knew to start with.

My green terrors love to eat my plants. I don't have a problem with it, that's what the plants are there for. I just stopped putting peas and stuff in there. Plants can be replaced if needed. They seem to spread the chewing around enough so that you can't tell that they do it.

what plants do you have in with them? they're omnivores right (more carnivore or so I've red), so I'd like them to have a balanced diet

My point was to give them a balanced diet. All literature says to do it. I have found that they (at least mine) do it them selves. I have minnows swimming in the tank at all times and real plants. I see the male eat both. I see the female eat only plants so far. Both are 7". I throw in Tetra cichlid sticks to round out the diet. Also the sticks are very messy and that gives the shiners (minnows) something to eat.

Amazon swords are good sturdy plants. My gf's goldfish don't even eat it.
