green terrors

I only have one and he's a bit territorial but not so bad. I have kept him in a cichlid community with sajicas and no shredded fins. Don't keep them with anything too aggressive like Amphilophus and they should be fine.

My 4" female is in a 135 w/ 2 silver dollars, 1 JD, 1 Carpinte, 1 severum and 1 senegal bichir. She chases the JD on occasion but that's just because the JD picks on her. I think if they are the dominant fish in the tank they do just fine. They make a good boss fish.

My 8 inch female is 4th on the totem pole beneath my Oscar, and two JD's.

aggresion varies from fish to fish, i have both scene very aggresive ones, as well as very passive ones. in general most of the ones i have seen are not largely aggresive, just in some cases a bit territorial.

My GT is about 5 1/2 inches and as stated above he makes a great tank boss. I have two Oscars, a Jack Dempsey, a Red Bay Snook, and a pleco in my 180 with him. The GT is extremely territorial with the Oscars and Jack Dempsey, but almost completely ignores the smaller Snook. While extremely territorial, the GT mostly just threatens without doing any real damage. Only when the MUCH larger Oscars don't back down will the GT really attack, and the removal of a few scales is usually enough for the Oscars.

Its fun to watch the Green Terror flare out its gills, and chase away Oscars almost twice his size. The Oscars could easily tear him a new ***hole, but he puts on a show and the Oscars are intimidated.

My GT was just about 4" when he got owned by a fish in the tank he was in (not sure which 1) so I moved him to a more peaceful tank to heal. As soon as he was better he killed the JD in that tank in a matter of 2 days. He's now in the grow up tank with some pbass who have already out grown him. He picks on the parrots in there a bit but no more problems "so far".
