new mexico
my big green male and my blue female have eggs, no bad ones yet , I may have babies for any one in the new mexico area, both parents are perfect examples

FINALLY another cichlid fish keeper in NM!!!! Post pics. Remember if you sell them sell them as Texas Hybrids or bloodlines could be ruined and purists would have another reason to blame us:)

hey, we are neighbors , taylor ranch ,, oh yeah ,I'll make it clear ,I didn't honestly think they would pair up but I think they will make nice fish

Is the escondido considered the blue texas because we have a male escondido. We crossed him with our blood parrot have had 2 batches of fry now they grow like weeds.

herichthys carpintis (escondido) is blue close to turquoise and a different variant it is not a texas cichlid it grows to around 8 ".
herichthis cyanoguttatus is the true texas cichlid and is gray fading to black and gets larger up to 12 " the breeding pair i had showed slight coloring on them but not much .

Ive had all three and breed them including the green i believe the green texas as it is sold is a mix between the carpintis and the cyanoguttatus as the pair i had (from T.F.D) seemed to show different patterns ranging from one extreme to the other but this is just my opinion im not sure about the greens.

Your parent fish show great colors are you going to grow out any of the fry?

Your female looks a lot like our male when he is in mating color I like the way they look like they are wearing black lip stick would you consider selling your female. Is it tough for you to ship fish to Canada because i've heard there is a ton of paper work for us to ship fish to the US.
