Ok, so my Green texas has not got better. Originally it looked as if it were an injury that occurred while moving my tank. Now, I'm dealing with either an infection or the injury or a multitude of issues from stress or something entirely different.

Tank:
80-82 degrees
100 gallon
Performed 50% w/c 3 days ago, repeated today.
Added 20 tblsp of Aquarium Salt

Sadly afterwards i noticed that my little guy might be suffering from something like bloat. He seems to be gasping slightly (breathing heavier than normal) but he does seem to have a bit of color back since the w/c

Thoughts? Is the slight bloating i am seeing from the newly added salt and not from the sickness considering he hasn't shown any signs of bloat (enlarged belly, stringy whitish poo) till today.

It does have that appearance. The fibrous tissue released from the fish shortly after treating with salt. Should I do salt baths rather than full tank salt treatment or continue with treatment of the tank? My other 3 fish do not appear to have any issues or infections. I have 2 Blood Parrots and another Texas. Sad that the infection was caused from his wound... according to my quick research it can enter via injury/lesions among many other ways. I see 2 other areas where the infestation seems to have cropped up on him both showing a slightly brownish color and about the size of a grain of sand maybe smaller. they were there prior to todays salt treatment and w/c.

Columnaris is most virulent in water over 80'F, and your Texan can take temps into the 60s. I would lower the temp.
I had 2 beani die of Columnaris in last summers heat wave, I now keep my new beani in the low 70s to high 60s, they seem much healthier and their aggression level is tempered.

wish i could, the temp naturally stay around 80.. i'll do my best. the fish seems to be less stressed out now so hopefully the salt is doing it's job. Should I do a 50% tomorrow or the day after and re-dose new salt?
