Green Texas spawning colors?? pic

Typically, the texas is solid grey with the blue/green markings...ever since i added a blood parrot to the tank, he has changed color and gotten a little aggressive....his throat is completely jet black along with the rear half of his body....male? female? it digs nests as well

Nice colors. Just a guess, but looks like a female. Also doesn't look like a true texas(cyno). Looks more like a carpintis or maybe a cross.
 
I agree with zippo. Looks female, and looks like a carpintis, not a cyano. Great looking fish either way!
 
Those are spawning colors and yes its a female. Males have streamer dorsal and anal fins that can extend past the tail fin.
 
Wow, thats weird, cuz my Blue Convict is for sure a Male and I am unsure of my new Blood parrot....., but it seems that both the con and the texas were flaring and twitching around the parrot....maybe i will have to observe more closely.. still no eggs by any fish though. Thanks for the input.
