Hello,
New to the forum and need your help. I have a Green Texas that turned black and has white stuff growing or shedding on his body? Not sure if this is fungus or some other disease. Had him for about a month and my bigger Jack Dempsey and Convict have been picking on him. He doesn't seem sick but his color doesn't paper right? My PH is 7.4 Ammonia is 0 Nitrate is 0 and Nitrate is 40 ppm I think... Pics are attached. Any help is appreciated.20151129_103537.jpg 20151129_103539.jpg 20151129_103542.jpg 20151129_105408-1.jpg

He was getting picked on by a bigger Jack Dempsey and ended up dying. Thank you for your help.

It has been beaten nearly to death and looks possibly infected with "mouth fungus"(bacterial). I would isolate the fish, use a plastic food strainer, if you don't have another tank; your fish's days are numbered if not separated.

I would also lower your nitrates(by doing water changes)to aid in recovery

Yes Wailua you were right! Tex ended up passing 2 days later. This is my first setup so I have never seen that before. Now I know if it were to happen again...
