I am trying to get my 3 small Texas Cichlids to live with a slightly larger Oscar and I am wondering if when the Texans get large, will they beat up my Oscar? They get along great now, but I'm sure things will change.
Yep, all depends on the fish. I've got a 6" Carpinitis living with an Oscar pair then I've got a juvie Cyano living with an Oscar, no problems in either tank. I don't think you'll have to worry about the Texas outgrowing the Oscar. Where people run into problems is trying to put the 2 in anything smaller than a 125 g tank.
yah, depends on the fish however I will say that if any of your carpintis pair up and start breeding then the odds of them becomeing hyper violent and thus deadly to other tank mates will be greatly increased.
