I did a 25% water change. Then it didn't clear up. I also change the carbon and filters and cleaned the canister. Added the usual amquel chlorine and ammonia remover. And still murky, I even did another 25% water change after I cleaned the canister with minimal results. The stream on my filter is running great. Some schooling would be greatly appreciated.

looks like an algae bloom. You need to lower nitrate levels and reduce light.

Right on, I will do that. Thanks broda.

if you wana save a little money, your best bet is to just turn the lights off and up the water changes. is that an african aro i see? or a lung?

looking at it for a second time, maybe a channel cat?

we know its most likely algae. now WHY do you have it? too much light is the most common culprit :)

is your tank near a window and getting direct sunlight? if so, try a blind or a curtain or something of the like.

how long are your lights on each day?? 6 hours or so should be plenty once you have the current problem cleared up.

to clear it up, try leaving the lights off for a couple days and not feeding. keep up with your WC's. using a UV isnt needed, but im pretty sure it wont do anything but help either if you can afford it.

You know what, your right. I left the lights off all night and I see an improvement already! Im gonna leave them off for another day then do another 25% wc and it should back to crystal clear waters again !! thank all of ya !!
