green water..!!!

hello guys..i have a 125g tank outside of my house and it's filled with green water algae and i was wondering what would be the best way to eliminate the problem..??alright thanks

you could start by emptying the water then with warm water and a scrubbing pad and a bit of elbow grease start cleaning it ! ;)
 
uv sterlizer its the best use for them since your tanks outside and probably thicker then pea soup i would do a large water change first then add a uv should clear in a couple days.
 
dump it out clean with chlorox let sit for a few days then youre good to go.
if for some reason you dont want to dump it you could throw some daphnia and extra aeration in it.or use a diatom filter
 
thank you all for the advise...i guess i'll be scrubbing today and one more thing do you guys think a UV is needed and whats a diatom filter..??alright thanks
