Hi Guys~

Joined a little while ago, but I figured it's about time I posted something here. So here goes!

My name's Matt, I'm 22 & recently moved to Western MA. So far it's incredibly boring out here (I live in the forest) so I've been spending more & more time with my tanks & my cars. Not that that's a bad thing :D:D:D

I used to have TONS of aquarium setups in high school (worked at my LFS, it was an awesome job but I spent every penny on additional setups) before selling everything to head off to college.

Currently I have a juvenile common snapping turtle, and plan to set up a planted nano tank in my office very soon.

I went to college for Culinary Arts, ended up spending more time in Biology/Physics classes than in actual cooking classes, and now I sell insurance. If you can figure out how that progression works, let me know... I sure can't :grinno:

I'm also a bit of an amateur racecar driver, although to date I've only run endless amounts of hot laps. Next summer I plan on entering some SCCA events up at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but we'll see - it's stupid expensive.

My current car projects include:

-Van Diemen RF80 Formula Ford racecar. It's very dated, very tired, and very hard to drive. But it works, and it's ridiculously fun to drive!

-1998 Chevy S10 (daily driver) with the Vortec V6 , lifted 4", slightly bigger tires (on stock rims), DIY wooden bed, DIY deercatcher with fogs & roof lights, camouflage paint job on the cab/ exposed areas of the frame. It's awesomely redneck and is an animal in the snow.

-1995 Mazda Mx6 with far too many mods to list (the frame & windshield are stock...... s'about it). It's illegal for street & track and is absolutely terrifying to drive. A buddy of mine gave it to me for free when he realized he couldn't register it. Score!

-1967 MGB GT. It's a resto project, and is easily 10+ years away from completion. The dream is to drop in a Chevy V8 & revamp the entire car to modern standards while maintaining the classic look as much as possible.

If anyone else here likes to bang on cars I'd love to hear what you have!

Anyways, I'm gonna sign off for now. Thanks for reading & I look forward to gettin to know all of yas!

Matt
