I've decided to join MFK as I have begun to share my life with some larger fish and figure this might be a good place for advice. The internet is so full of inaccuracies and conflicting data that I want to learn right from the source!
Traditonally I've been a betta keeper, but recently I have gotten into pond fish (three big common goldies and a baby koi that is growing fast), and also recently wound up with a wolf fish (Hoplias malabaricus). I fostered one of these guys briefly before and intended upon fostering this guy, but have been playing with the idea of potentially keeping him depending on my future situation.
Right now the wolf has pop-eye; this was why he was surrendered. However, he is responding slowly but surely to treatment and as he becomes more active and healthy, I'm really enjoying him! You can expect plenty of n00b questions from me about growth rate, ACTUAL tank size needed at adulthood, etc.
