I've been a member/lurker for some time now, but I kept quiet as I didn't really have a decent camera to make photos that I thought would be worth posting about. Two weeks ago I finally managed to get my hands on a Canon 450D and some of the first photos I took with it have given me a drive to get better. I don't expect to reach the superb quality that I've seen here, but I will give it a good try in any case
Some bits and pieces of information about myself. I'm a 36 years old dutchman, living in Finland with my lovely wife. I have two planted tanks (65g and 40g), of which the smaller one needs a lot of work. The larger tank is just recovered from a serious algae period, but now that I have some more time for it, it is on its way back to glory.
I already have some hardware questions, which I'll post in the designated forums
