I have just joined and wanted to say howdy from Virgina! I have a rather old and beat up 125 (could describe me, also) that I am setting up. I currently have a 75 that is a planted tank with a SE Asian theme.
I do have a question for you great folks. I have gotten very interested in a silver arrowanna that is at my pet store. This fish was someone's PET and was very much loved and paid attention to, fed by hand, etc. The fish looks depressed and only perks up when it gets in your face attention, otherwise it is in beautiful condition.
Needless to say, I really want to take this fish home but all I have is the 125 and it will be all that I can come up with for awhile. Is there anyway to manage this until I can get the 300 gallon? It may take me a year to manage the big tank and I do not want to be cruel to this fish but it actually seems to like me a lot and I am worried about it.
