anybody now of any another food that is cheap and grey tree frogs will eat. feeding 3 crickets every 2days to one frog, and it being $1.50 for a dozen cricket where i live is crazy. i have 6 of them now and getting expensive to house them.
Why did you go from 1 to 6 when you knew how much it was going to cost to feed them?
You can buy crickets in bulk and save some cash that wasy but you have to house the crickets. Try your local reptile show. I pay $9.00 for 1000 crickets.
Treefrogs find their food by motion cues, so you probably won't find a prepared food they will take. If you're in an area that is fairly pesticide free, you can collect wild insects to feed your frogs. They like moths, roaches, flies, grasshoppers, spiders, cutworms, maggots, earthworms, etc.; avoid wasps, beetles, true bugs, and anything that is brightly colored or has dangerous-looking jaws or claws.
