I was thinking getting my peeps some nice fishing reel and pole for there gifts..i don't want to do the same ole engraved whiskey flask or mug..just htought it would be cool cause we all are avid anglers!!!!

get 'em all a rod like the Daiwa procster (non expensive great lil rod) and have their names written on it at a local tackle shop.
I think that is a great idea!! I have a wedding coming up, and I would love that as a gift. Being a girl, I will probably get a stupid picture frame or something.
actually bought them all Pflueger reels.. 8 ball bearing's and reels like a Cadillac...was going to go wit shimano but the clerk was a avid angler and swore up and down with Pflueger..and they were a tad cheaper then the shimano's i was going to buy
