i just finished doing a water change on my 90G , i have some florida spotted gar in there, and when i was filling it up, i noticed on the inside of the tank tiny bugs on the glass, lots of them, they might of been red, when they landed on the water they didnt sink, they just jumped around on the surface of the water..should i be worried?

probably, they may affect your gar. I think thoses were from your water when you did your water change, I need pics to varify the type of bug, to recommend medication.

i dont think i could even get a pic, they are so small, i realize its hard to say with out seeing them, but could it be possible they are from the feeder fish, sadly its been gold fish for the past couple weeks.

Unless you got the water you used for the water change from outside, why would it have bugs in it? I don't think bugs come in from the tap water.

no the water has always come from a tap. now i do have live floating plants in the tank, they have been there for months, so maybe they came in on those? but like i said i dont think i could get pics, they are so small just a dot, that jumps

If you click on the thread that was linked earlier, there's a link in that thread that goes to a photo of a springtail. There's also information on springtails. So you can see if that's what it is.
