in my 29 gallon tank i am running a 24" HO T5 with 2 bulbs currently diy CO2 but will have presurized in a few days just need a CO2 tank, and i dose dry ferts. i curently have micro swords and chain swords on either side of the tank. these are doing good but in the middle i have HC that i put in when i still had my 65W CF light and it seemed to be dead or on its way there. i just put the T5s on a few days ago i was wondering if with this set up if the HC is not all the way dead will it be able to grow and form a carpet?
im looking to have in my forground taller plants on the sides with somthing short to very short in the middle (like the set up now) so if i cant get the HC to pull through is there any recomendations for the short plant?
