Hi all,

I'm slowly stocking my 180G and i'm trying to figure out what to add

The current stock:
6" Ornate poly
4" Delhezi poly
4" Rotkeil severum x2
Oscar cichlid (getting him when the polys are 7-8")

Current options that i've found:
Geophagus Steindacherni
Firemouth Cichlid
Convict Cichlid
Silver dollars (afraid that they'll be too shy, since this tank is in the living room)
Tinfoil barbs
Pimelodus catfish
Featherfin catfish

I'm interested in any kind of fish, thanks in advance!

Out of the list

featherfin or firemouth or Geophagus

Tinfoils are rather large shoaling fish and higher bioload than severum in the long run
pimelodus and convict might get eaten by oscar later in life

Alright, then tinfoil barbs, convicts & the pims will not be an option.

I'm not that familiar with firemouths & geos when it comes to bioload and with that being said; I dont have the time to do a 50% water change everyday haha. With the current stock, plus the options that you've mentioned before, how many fish would you add?

I'm currently running 1 FX6, I will be buying a second one soon. Just have to find some time in the upcoming month to buy & install one.

My preference would be the firemouth since it's only about 15cm versus 20cm for Geophagus Steindachneri.
Alright, thanks for the input! One of my LFS also has some Thorichtys Ellioti, i've read that they're less aggresive than firemouths. Might these be the better choice if I'll go for a Throichtys species? My only concern then, if they're really timid, that they might get bullied.

Depends on your oscar and severums... you won't know until you try.
