Personally I like the Peacock grouper/blue spot grouper. At least thats what we call them in canada.

I've kept and recommend miniatus as well, very attractive, and reaches a manageable size. The specimen I had was very aggressive, so make sure the tankmates are appropriate.

I loved my skunk grouper. not over aggressive but will eat anything and everything that will fit in its mouth. i kept mine with hogs, large clowns, xl damsels and eels.
