I have a 55 gal grow out tank and planning to merge with my 125 as soon as they get large enough and was wondering how soon do you think this is possible. In my 125 I have a 7 inch gold severum, a 7 inch starphire, a 7 inch frontosa and a 8 inch bumblebee catfish and in my 55 gal I have 2 red spotted gold severums about 3 inches and 1 green severum about 2 inches , a chocolate about 2.5 inches and 5 clown loaches all about 2.5 inches. I have plenty of filtration but was wondering about the aggression levels with the bigger fish, as they are all very non aggressive but when I introduce the smaller fish if this will cause havic?

My main concern would to make sure their big enough not to fit in the bumblebee catfish mouth, you will probably have some spats from the severums thats what is expected from cichlids lol.

What he said lol

You also may have issues since the fish in the 125 are established already. Im not the stocking police but your bioload is gonna be high

Yes I have thought about that but I figured If I have an fx5 and an fx6 for filtration and do weekly 50 % water changes I would be ok , what do you guys think?

Filtration will be OK, work out your waterchange schedule from testing and adjust from there, but your still going to have a lot of big fish crammed in the tank, 5 severams 1 chocolate 1 frontosa 1 bumblebee catfish and 5 clowns that's alot for a 125

Better known as JDM style

50% aint gonna cut it. All the filtration in the world wont change the need to remove nitrates. I wouldnt even try to guess how large and how many wcs you'll need.

Me personally i wouldnt do it
