Grow out kels and orinos

Bought 3 kels from wes(fugupuff) taiwan Bahia is what they are sold as. I'm not here to debate. Hope they turn out nice of mot will buy more. Also picked up 3 wild caught orinos. Currently housed in a 135. Kels are eating pellets orinos are on a mix of blood worms and picking at pellets. This is a Grow out tank so save the better have a bigger tank comments. Please any helpful input is welcomed.

Also if you picked up any from Wes please share pics this was from his May shipment I believe when he had brokopondo orino and kels
 
Those orinos look like they are going to be some real lookers.When did you get them?
 
Thanks. Orinos and kels are 2 of my favorites. Funny so hard to come by when i was in the hobby 5 years ago.A few weeks ago. I had 5 one was a snack for an endli and one just got beat up by the others. I am very pleased with them. Not sure your location but the store still has some.
 
kendragon kendragon I know those were my I aspiration back then and now. If they can achieve half of that I will be happy. Wouldn't yours be from different breeder though/parents? If not maybe I need to call was and get the rest of this batch to grow out. I think I read all your threads today lol lazy Sunday.

Wes has all the legit cichla. Give them clean water, good food, and plenty of lighting. Your kels will turn out nice.

Part of the fun is growing them and seeing what they turn out to be. If you notice not one of them look the same even from the same batch. At the time, several of us bought them. Each of us had different results. I think the owner plays a big part of the result. I really enjoyed the overall golden body color compared to the green orino body. Believe it or not, in 2010 I bought Wes's brokos too. Funny how it has gone full circle. Good luck with yours.
