I currently have a 30 Gal tank that has 5 Bumblebee Mbuna approx 1.5"-2.5".
If I were to put in a tank divider could I use one side of the tank to start growing out my senegals that I am planning on getting for my 125?
The senegals I am looking at are approx 3-3.5".

I am eventually planning on getting rid of the mbuna but would like to go ahead and get my senegals

It should be ok for a while-Anne

I'd seperate them

hopefully the mbuna will be gone by the end of next month then I can dedicate the entire 30 gal to them.

how fast do the senegals grow??
how soon would I be able to move them to the 125?

depends whats in the 125 now? this will determine how big they need to be.
my sen grew from the 3-3.5" size to about 5.5-6" in a few months

There is nothing in there at the moment.
Planned inhabitants are
3 Uaru
5 Herotilapia multispinosa
2-3 Sevs or Geos
and eventually the Senegals

probably best to divide the tank you could try it but if the senegals get chewed on then divide the tank

They don't grow that fast mabye 1''-1.5'' per month till they get around 8''-9'' then they slow way down get fatter and then start getting fatter and longer till there about 10''-12''
