I have a 2.5" belly crawler that is in a 20g for quarantine. I feel confident that I can add it to my 125 at this time but I have never used a grow out tank before and was wondering if it would make a difference in growth rate keeping thins as is. The belly crawler get flakes twice a day and freeze dried blood works once per day. I do a 25% water change every other day with a 50 wc once a week. When in the 125 feedings will be pellets 2x a day with 1 15-20% wc and 1 75% wc.

7" rotkeil
3 5-6" geo iporangensis
4.5" acarychthis heckelii
3 4" silver dollars
6" ebjd

Nobody is much of a trouble maker, I added the heckelii at 2.5" and no problems. The tank also has lots off bidding spots that only the belly crawler will fit.

Water quality is the most significant aspect of fish keeping. If you keep up with your water changes and make sure he eats all of the food, you could expect more growth while in the q tank. I'm not sure I would feed 3 times a day though unless the portions are small. None of the fish in your 125 worry me except for the ebjd.

Even when im only doing 1 wc per week nitrates stay under 10, the extra wc is mostly to water plants in the yard. But without competition for food it will he easier to ensure the belly crawler gets it's fill. I have nothing better to do with my time so maybe I'll go ahead and move the belly crawler when i do a wc Friday since i can monitor them closely.

Thanks for the thoughts and opinions.
