Guys would a 385 liter aquarium (160x60x40) be suited to use as a grow out tank for pups?

Its just till they are eating good and or are sold or will be placed back in to main tank with a divider.

I have had bad experience with pups in a big tank. Somehow they cant eat well enhough as in smaller tank.

Lets say they will be in the smaller tank for 2 max 3 months.

Filtration will be proberly a fx6.

What I did with my pups in a big tank was divided them off into a 60cm x 60cm section intil they where eating well enough and I felt comfortable letting them have the whole tank. Which also thought them that when they seen me I was going to put the good into that area of the tank

I will do wc 2x a week the same as my main tank.

I cant use a divider ot the main tank for the pups. The circulation would not work as good as now. I got an internal sump on the left side of the main tank. I have tried it with eggcrate divider. The food for the pups will blow true the whole tankt

I personally dont like the grow out concept, large water volume is more stable, give them the final tank size if you can straight away. Sometimes I think growout is an excuse for not getting the right tank day 1 (note, I say sometimes)

Small tanks do stunt growth so go big asap.

What i mean with grow out is just temperary. As soon as they eat well enhough im going to keep 1 or 2 and sell the others. I have an 1500 liter tank. But i understand what you mean.
