Grow out tank !!!!

Now I have a grow out 15 gallon tank fully loaded with heater, light, sponge filter, but no substrate !! I've had 4 pregnancy already all successful but now i chose to buy a tank and start putting the females in the tank and let them grow out there.

My question is I noticed fry don't eat the food as mch so it goes to the bottom and sits there I guess so should I put a substrate in the tank or leave it bare ao it's easier to clean the tank ???

If it's just a fry growout tank then just leave it bare so it's easier to clean and take apart when the fry get too large for it. What are you feeding them??

Powder flakes is that ok and it's slightly I mean slightly cloudy compared to my crystal clear main tank

I fed my fry NLS cichlid pellets. They're a little big for their tiny mouths, but once they soften up in the water the fry can eat pieces off of them and they don't make a huge mess.
