So my shipment from Dan at Cichlids of The Americas came in a little while ago. I just put them in the tank, they are still in shock so I will post pictures later tonight. I also want to add, Dan was great, he shipped well and everything came alive and in pretty good condition. Anyone who is on the fence about ordering from him I say go for it! He was great with me and I plan on ordering from him again!
Here is what I got:
6 La Ciebas, plus two which he added for free
6 Red Tiger Mota
6 Rio Magdalena Umbees

I got a group of RTMs from him about a month ago to grow out...interested to see how your La Ciebas turn out.

Doing well! They've put on noticeable size. I'm feeding mainly beefheart flake and some spirulina flake. I'll switch over to NLS when they get to 2.5-3in.

Update: The Umbees are super active and energetic, it's great! I don't think I've ever owned a fish this small and have it be out and about and not afraid of me. The RTMs are very territorial and aggressive, not a problem though there is plenty of space. The La Ceibas are very big eaters! They out eat Umbees that are a whole .5" 1" bigger! Overall I am very pleased with the fish.ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1393204210.580717.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1393204252.109862.jpg

I also have some Freds from Dan. I also got Gorillus Black Umbee x10, Haitensis x7, Freds x7, Orange Loisellei x5, Grammmodes x5, Trimacs x5 and red lstlanum x5. But by far the loisellei are my favorite. The color on them is amazing. I've had all the fish for around 6 months and the most are around the 5-7 inch range. If you ever want a really good strain of Haitensis I had grown a lot of them up to around 4.5 inches before they all turned on one another and ended up with nothing left. I started a lot of my fish on spirulina flake with a little befheart flakes after they got past 2 inches. I would want to point out I only fed the Haits 1-2 times a week on beefheart flakes. It would be awesome to see some pictures of how the fish have developed in a months time.

Unfortunately there was an accident and all of my fish died. I made another order from him though I ordered 5 F1 Rio Mags from his big male, and 6 Wild Caught Rios aswell. I will start a new thread for them when they are a little bigger.
