Grow outs!!

I picked up ten 1.5" p bass a month ago for $3.99 each so I can grow out at least 3-4 for myself. Well of the ten I unfortunately had 6 die for unknown reasons. I went back to the store a week later and found out that the 25 they had left started dropping like flies so I passed on getting more. A week after that mine started dropping like flies except for 4. The 4 I have left are now 4.5-5" and the smallest is 3.5". They are feeding on bloodworms and showing interest in pellets. Now only if they stop spitting them out I'd be happy.
Here are some pics, they're a week and a half old. They share their grow out with seven 3" clown loaches.

i like what you did with the leaves to make some cover. sucks that 6 of them didnt make it. coulda been a disease. well at least they were pretty cheap!

Thanks. Gotta love the dollar store. LoL. The bass seem to love the plants. They camouflage pretty damn well in there too.

I was thinking a disease for the others as well. At least these 4 are doing well. Weird thing is 3 of the 4 I didn't expect to make it these far and all of a sudden just had these growth spurts. I'm looking forward to their colours to start coming in.

Sucks that you lost some. 3.99 is really good! I got mine at about the same size for 10 bucks. Iv never seen them for sale at any fish store iv been to until that day. Now my lfs always has them in stock.
 
He was referring to me we go to school together and the 20 is just for now I'm upgrading as I go but I'm getting some in for $2.50

I picked them up at big al's. They were 4.99 each and I asked them to knock $1 off if I buy at least 10. I didn't think they'd go for it but they did. LoL I've been noticing that the big al's closer to the GTA have been getting in lots of baby p bass lately but marking them for $9.99.
Same day i got 5 1.5-2" clown loaches for $20 :)
