Grow up tank for small fish

Hello guys

I wanted to ask in your opinion how big the growup tank should be if it would be for a Single fish that would be between 3 to 4 inches for his first 3 growing months.

It depends on the species some grow extremely fast for example a Silver Arowana.

I personally had a small Silver Arowana that size put it in a 29 gallon for about month. I transferred it to a 55 gallon it outgrew the 55 gallon in about 2 1/2 months. Transferred the Silver Arowana into a 180 gallon.
