I know lots of people have problems with algae and I actually grow a lot of algae in one of my tanks. It has turned out to be a GREAT food source for my baby crayfish so I'd like to culture/grow more.

The question is: What is the best way to grow algae efficiently?

You could use a container with dechlorinated water. Put it in a spot with lots of light and adding some fish food will help and this should start the process. Also you could add a few smooth river stones.

But a grow light over the tank. If you want to grow alot of algea add an airstone to a container of water. The airstone and airpump is a cheap way to circulate the water and algea needs oxygen as well as sunlight.
