a shop up here has geos look like brazi's but they are different huge eyes he says they are wild caught

i got them at about 1-1.5 inches and in less than three months, my largest geo is pushing 4 inches. I'm pretty sure its a male at the rate its growing. :)

here is a pic
to find out what type i got the info from my book with stated how many bars, eye colour flank spot and very high dorsal fin plus lack of body colour and green base colour.
this fish has all these traits.
you probably find a lot of these listed as surinamensis or altifrons kicking about without people knowing.
as for the braziliensis there are a few types and different locations they are picked up from.

thanks for the info benfica that some growth rate i will try your food suggestions out.

mate ....you need to get hold of a book called south american eartheaters
......it looks to me like a rio pindare or an aripuna .... i have 8 different types and they are fairly slow growers.......they don't mind a feed of boiled vegies(zuccini, broccollii and carrots) once a week either. mine also love meal worms and smashed up snails (not garden snails, but the small ones from ponds)
