I went out of the vacation for a week and when I got back I had a pleasant surprise. Leatherface grew a nice size hump and is really showing the RD whose tank it is.

When I got him 2 yrs. ago the store had him labeled as a Texas. I think he may be some sort of a cross. However I do know that Flowerhorns come in all damn colors. The lfs near me has some of the red ones and then they have some that are damn near sky blue, weird. Funny thing is the RD was whooping up on the Tex and Mayan when I first put him in the tank. I put the RD in a tank by himself and then placed him back in with the Tex after about a month and it's a whole different ball game. The Mayan is in a 55g by himself but he is growing so damn slow. I got a 180g at my sis's house 3 hrs away I just gotta find the time and truck to go get it. here is an old pic after the first introduction
