Growing out jack

Just thought I'd share my little grow out 3" long don't see many people with them. He's a bottomless pit that never stops moving when your around the tank

Don't know anything about this species but wow his colours are nice.

He's a mangrove jack, he'll lose these colours as he gets bigger looks nice in the mean time though!

Nice one. People talk about the colours but it's immaterial with jacks. They can flash up those fright bars and change colour in a heartbeat. Usually when being fed. They're cool fish tho, mines about 4 years old now and over 18 inches (45cm).

Some of the shops here used to try and pass them off as red finned datnoids lol.

Cool Fish! It's gonna be a loner wet pet right? Think they are one of the most aggressive fish to own.

Sounds like a beast should share a pic! There in the snapper family not a red snapper though. He'll be solo for life he doesn't play nice already.

That's how it was when I had mine.The bigger it got the meaner it became and it had the teeth to put a hurtin on anything that tried to stand up to it.
