I was debating getting a few smaller 2-3" panaques and growing them out, but wondered what would be the smallest tank if I wanted to do 1 or 2, that would be ok for this? One of the daughters 20L is more or less empty now save for a few cories and a lone guppy that's survived an entire year of random growouts and QT's from oscars to gt's to red sevs to chocolates.. so I figure nothings going to kill him at this point. I know it takes a long time for them to grow, but was interested in trying it just once. I'm looking to go ahead and order a new L27 to replace my loss from October, when the new ones start getting imported, and figured I'd use that shipping time to grab 1 or 2 juvs, like L191/0 or similar cheaper panaque to see how it goes.

Thanks for input.

20 litres is really small for growing one out, they produce a lot of waste in my experience.

20L is 20Long here in the US so a 20g long.

They grow slowly.

Yes I know. Thats why I wondered if a 20Long would be ok for 1 to start it's growout in.

Sorry my bad, 20 gallon is a good shout to start
