people talk about haviong a growout tank for the arowanas until it growns bigger. but in a small tank wouldnt it just slow its growthor stunt it?

Never really understood the term "grow out tank", But I guess I have used them for one of my silver aros. It has been in the following tanks;
20g @3.5"
55g @ 9"
75g @ 14"
120g @16"
150g @18"
180G @ it's current length of 24"
350g with in the next couple months
Hoping for a final home of 8' x 4' x 30" for the 3 of my aros in a couple years.
A good rule of thumb is to never have the aro in a tank that is less then 3x the aros length and has a width at least equal to the aros length.
