I'm thinking of getting some ropefish, first they will inhabit my 250L tank until I get mij 2 meter tank.

How fast do these fish grow when conditions are optimal and how long can they get? Some say 90 cm and others say 40 cm.
If they grow to fast or get to long I'm thinking of getting a bichir (ornatipinnis).
