So I recently bought 4 2-3" loaches. I did a 20 day quarantine on them before adding them to my 92g. They've been in the aquarium for about 2 weeks now. Today I noticed one was a totally different shade of gold/black. Almost like a faded loach. I couldn't honestly tell you if it had always been that shade or not, they're fast and there's 4 of them. But I just did a big 50% wc yesterday evening, so I'm thinking maybe that has something to do with it.

Well after I noticed the color was different on one, I was worried so I pulled up a chair and started scrutinizing the additions. The one loach is completely colored that way. Which is leading me to assume it's just adjusting to the big wc. But I did notice that there is a small spot, like a milky colored fuzz on the side of another loach which I'm almost positive is the start of an ich outbreak. This is my first time keeping loaches, and wanted some solid advice on treating from experience keepers. The temps did drop from 81 to 72 during the water change. I'm thinking that didn't help anything either .

Water parameters are normal. I had a slight nitrate spike, which is why I did the larger water change. Tank mates are 3 delhezi bichir, and an electric blue acara. I feed cobalt flakes, and frozen/thawed foods. Any input is appreciated.

So the off coloured one looks be normal now. And I managed to net the other for further inspection. And it appears to be a scar, and not an infection or parasite. So false alarm. Will continue to monitor and update if anything changes.
