Growth on head?

Got a 7 inch Oscar in a 110 gallon setup with a redtail, a few smaller oscars and a few plecos. This just appeared overnight and I'm not quite sure what it is.
 
Wow. Looks nasty. I'd start with some major water changes and rethink your filtration and stock list. You've got some big messy critters in there. Get the water quality where it should be and he'll make a full recovery.
 
Are they on the surface of the fish or does it look to penerate the fish's scales.
Mine had only one mark like that and was from hitting the lid.
Maybe it could be from sharp decor. also
 
i agree, the start of HITH. can't stress enough the need for water changes. I've got one in a 110 with 3 4" parrots, 1 5" syno, and 1 9" pleco and at 50% water changes a week with canister filter filter pad changes it's still could use vacuuming during the week. Might remove the parrots. DIRTY fish. good luck...remember prevention is better than the cure.
