Growth on lip?

My 9 inch pbass, has had this "growth" on his lip for his entire life. I have no idea what it is? Any help?

Hmm, I am wondering if maybe it's a healed injury from part of the jawbone punching through the skin. Are you aware of any really hard hits the bass may have had with tank glass?

Kinda normal to have them there, as they beg for food up on the glass rubbing there lip, all thought this looks to be more on the top of the lip. Looks like a small injury.

Both of my bass rub up against the glass, but they have been doing that their whole life? That's been there its whole life. Not sure.
