About three days ago, my aro accidentally tore its pectoral fin. It was initially recovering very well till this white lump appeared under the recovering part of the fin this morning. Does anyone know what exactly is this white thing under its fin? It doesn’t seem to be firmly attached to the pectoral fin but not hanging loosely at the same time. Will it fall off on its own the next few days? It doesn’t seem to affect my aro’s behaviour and appetite.

That doesn't look too good. I've never had arowanas before, but I'm guessing they're sensitive to water quality?

On closer inspection, I realised that it was just some flesh on a scale hanging out of a wound as seen in the pic. Phew what a scare! Hope it will drop out and recover in due time!!

Actually, will that piece of scale or bone with the flesh fall out in time to come? I’m just afraid that it’ll remain there forever.
