Growth Rate for L14 Goldie/Sunshine Pleco?

I got a goldie pleco back in August and it seems to be growing VERY slowly. I got him when he was about 1.5". He's about 2.5" now. What kind of growth rate is average for one of these? What's the best diet to put some size on him?

Wow, for some reason, I assumed they'd grow faster. What does yours like to eat?

Thanks. It'll be worth the wait though. He's a cool little pleco. He's in an HRP colony and has been getting shrimp, bloodworms, sinking pellets, and algea wafers.
