Well, subject says it all. I'm very familiar with the growth rates of the various SA cichlids, but not so with the African cichs. Specifically ones such as the various peacocks and frontosas (with a balanced an complete diet). Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

front really slow, I mean slow... peacocks, are slower growers from fry to 4 inches a year plus... fast at first then slows and then really slows down...
I ve bred peacocks and from fry to 3-4 inches took around a year, a year and a few months. My peacocks hit a growth spurt at 3 inches though and is getting bigger faster now. Fronts I ve had 2 from 1 inch and in 2 years one is at 6inches the other is only 3-4 inches. Fronts and peacocks do grow really slow.
