growth rate of black nasty

i just bought a 2inch black nasty hatiensis. he was together with other fry but he is the meanest and the one chasing the other fry so i got him for 13bucks. im just wondering how fast do they grow?. i will get some pics up after he settles in

Some say they are slow growers, but I know one can get up to 12" in one year with great care. Post some pics!

Give it space. Steady diet, Nominal aggression and they should grow pretty fast. Almost a year and my female is at 5.5 inches. My male is a couple months behind at 4inches. H ad then from .5 inches in a 55g growout.

not sure who has these guys but you can try asking on the vendor forum where all the dealers are, or look at their recent stock lists and see if any body happens to have them, though you may not get lucky until further into spring when everything is spawning...
