Growth rate of Black Tip Reefs

If a Black tip is kept in perfect conditions, with a good diet etc. How quick do they grow?

A company near me is looking at setting up a huge display tank soon (talking about a 50ft+ public aquarium style tank). Their interested in full grown adults but can only find people that will import 18-24" sharks. How quick will they grow?

I've got no experience nor intend to with black tips so I thought I'd come to the experts.

You don't want to start with an adult. Taking adults from the wild is just a pain, and even acclimating an adult in a captive setting to a new settingcan be problematic with them. Pups just do better bringing them in, transporting them and getting them settled in.
Given the right food and space, they will grow to fill the tank quickly.

The company have the chance to buy a used 25' square tank. They plan on setting this up as the 50' can't get built for about 2/3 months yet. Then add cycling time etc. Would a 25' tank work for 6 months?

If they are pups, it would. But you still have set up/cycling time for that 25' as well.

Lol. Well I work at Nokia, and they're opening a new building here soon and wanted something big in the reception area as an eye grabber, and they know I keep small sharks so they came to me.

The 25' their buying is still being used and its being brought here with all it's equipment and nearly 75% of the water. It's great working for a big company with a big budget to blow lol.
