btt

i bought my very first around 3'' I noticed mine grew on average 1'' every two months, until it hit 12'' by that time I was feeding straight tiger prawns, after 12''
it go up to 18'' in the next year, total timing took a little over two years, my biggest problem they are very very docile even as adults, you must take very big procautions with keeping any other fish with these guys, cichlids were always a bad mixture, any catfish i put will always outgrow way to quickly, i always noticed mine would sit on top of its bottom fins and arch itself facing directly under the moving water coming right at its face, its you time it just right itll snap at anything moving in the waters current,

when i man up i will have a pair of blue tree monitors 2500 a pair wowzers batman. jurense i want because i always herd they more hardy then the tigs.

I have owned Tigs and Juru... I find myself saying the samething I saud a few years ago... I like Jurus better.
I had a 6-7" Juru and about 10 months later, he was 16" with a hell-a long streamer. Still kick myself for letting him go (pics could be found in the F/S section a few years back) and he passed on the new owner :(. I forget what I had listed him at but when I took him to the buyer, he measured 16" tip to tail (minus the streamer).

So... I will guesstimate it will take 16 months or so if you have the set up correctly.

I fed market shrimp and Massivore daily with one powerful outlet to the center of the tank from the Sump. He would just sit in the current ALL DAY!! Next thing you know he was a Monster!!

Currently I have 2 Jurus in the same tank. 1 is about 10" and the other is about 7-8" or so. Living with no problems :D
Thats my .02 cents
